5. Gerald Brown

DL | Cal (PA)

Brown was a 6’1″ 250-pound recruit out of Pennsylvania in the class of 2018. He immediately became a starter as a true freshman, progressing to be an all-conference player in 2019 and 2021 (no 2020 season due to COVID). Brown finished with 155 tackles, 27.5 TFLs, and 11.5 sacks over 32 starts. He entered the portal in April 2022.


4. Bryce Sheppert

DB | Notre Dame College

Sheppert was a 5’11” 195-pound recruit out of Ohio in the class of 2019. He was instantly a starter, earning all-conference honors in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Sheppert finished with 124 tackles and 10 interceptions over 31 starts. He entered the portal in April 2022 and has received offers from Temple, Kent State, and several FCS programs.


3. Josh Lopez

LB | Southern Nazarene

Lopez was a 5’11” 230-pound recruit out of Texas in the class of 2020. In his first two seasons, he has been an all-conference performer. In 2021, he totaled 84 tackles, 9 TFLs, and 1 sack. He entered the portal in April 2022 and has received an offer from Northeastern State.


2. Mazin Richards

DL | Eastern New Mexico

Richards was a 6’2″ 230-pound recruit out of Texas in the class of 2019. He earned all-conference honors in his true freshman season (2019) and conference lineman of the year in 2021 (2020 cancelled). Richards tallied 62 tackles, 26.0 TFLs, and 21 sacks in just 21 games. He entered the portal in April 2022 and committed to North Texas soon after.


1. Willis Patrick

OL | Angelo State

Patrick was a 6’4″ 347-pound recruit out of Texas in the class of 2018. After redshirting in 2018 and appearing in 6 games in 2019, he started four matches in 2020 (COVID-shortened). Patrick broke out in 2021, earning All-American honors and conference lineman of the year. He entered the portal in April 2022 and has received offers from schools such as North Carolina, Cal, and Oregon State (among others).
