The following list features transfers dating back to May 2021. All players (and their information) were collected via AthLinkd’s transfer portal database tool.

5. Drake Johnson
DB | Mary Hardin-Baylor
At 6’0″ 190 pounds, Johnson found immediate success in Belton. The Texas-native started four games as a freshman in 2019 and then all five games in 2021 during the Crusaders’ abbreviated spring season. Through his nine starts, Johnson totaled 41 tackles, five interceptions, and 1.5 sacks as well as a crucial blocked punt in the ASC conference championship game. Entering the portal in June 2021, he has since committed and enrolled at D1-G5 Texas State with three years of eligibility remaining.

4. Myles Brodie
DB | Alvernia
Brodie has the least amount of playing experience for anyone on the list despite starting his entire freshman season. The Golden Wolves only participated in three contests during the 2021 spring session. His freshman campaign is noteworthy, however, as he earned All-Conference honors after a breakout season. The 6’2″ 175 pound Maryland-native recorded 41 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, eight PBUs, and forced seven takeaways (five interceptions and two forced fumbles). He entered the portal in May 2021, and his current commitment status is unknown.
2018 Highlights (High Schools)

3. Jamaar Moore
WR | Methodist
Moore’s two seasons with the Monarchs have been nothing short of prolific. Starting ten games as a freshman in 2019 and all five in their 2021 spring season, the 6’2 wide receiver averaged 79.4 yards per game, 1.2 touchdowns per games, and 13.2 yards per catch. He was named All-Conference both seasons while being among the league’s top statistical pass catchers. The South Carolina-native entered the transfer portal in May 2021 and later committed to D2 Erskine College.

2. Garrett Morgan
P | Emory & Henry
The Wasp punter has a much more unique background then the other players on this list. The only information about him is from the 2016 and 2017 seasons. In both these years, Morgan earned All-Conference honors as a freshman and sophomore after averaging 39.1 yards per punt while totaling 29 kicks inside the twenty. It is unclear for the rest of his play history since 2017 but the confirmed 2016-2017 numbers illustrate a statistically relevant transfer. Morgan is from Mechanicsville, VA.

1. James Bell
DB | Texas Lutheran
Bell is by far the most accomplished player on this list. The 5’11 185 pound Texas-native has not only started all four seasons since 2017 for the Bulldogs but was also named first team All-Conference four times as well. He has also found himself on D3 All-American teams. Over the course of his career, Bell totaled 199 tackles, 9 PBUs, 1 block, and 11 interceptions for over 158 yards. Another May 2021 portal transfer, he adds to the list of notable D3 athletes with an unknown commitment status.
